Abstract

In the field of occupational health, conducting functional tests is essential for evaluating workers’ fitness and ensuring their well-being. These tests are part of workers’ health examinations and are therefore considered indispensable tools for assessing fitness criteria, as well as understanding workers’ health status and any impact the work environment may have on them. These functional tests include (among others, these are the most common) blood draws, audiometries, spirometries, campimetries, vision control, and electrocardiograms.

The proper execution of these tests requires not only refined technique but also a deep understanding of the scientific criteria that underpin them. Therefore, it is crucial that these tests are conducted by specialist occupational health nurses, who possess the necessary qualifications and professional expertise to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as well as the skill to perform them with a high standard of quality and to evaluate the final outcomes comprehensively.
