About the Journal

Medicina y Seguridad del Trabajo is a quarterly journal (4 issues per year) aimed at professionals concerning occupational medicine and occupational health. Its standard abbreviated title is Med Segur Trab and it should be used in footnotes and bibliographical references where is appropriate.

The journal publishes in Spanish and English the following types of contributions: editorials, original papers, short original papers, review articles (preferably using systematic techniques), medical inspections, special articles and cover letters to the editor or scientific letters.

This journal is aligned with the Open Access Initiative, which implies that all its content is freely available to the end user or their institution. The journal's readers are authorised to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles in this journal without prior permission from the publisher or author, under the terms of the Creative Commons 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Med Segur Trab does not charge fees for the submission of papers, neither does it for the publication of its articles.

Journal's History

The Journal Medicina y Seguridad del Trabajo was founded in 1952, published by the National Institute of Occupational Medicine and Safety. From 1996 to the present day, it has been published by the National School of Occupational Medicine (ENMT) of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) in Madrid (Spain) in paper format, and since 2009 exclusively in electronic format.
